Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Clear Kernel LLC ("HouseOps, " "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use HouseOps. It applies to the account holders and staff who use our platform, and to prospective customers who contact us through our website or consultation form. Businesses that use HouseOps to serve their own customers are responsible for their own privacy practices toward those customers.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information — your name, business name, phone number, email address, and industry.
  • Payment information — billing is handled by Stripe. We receive limited details such as subscription status; we do not store full payment-card numbers.
  • Usage information — basic technical and usage data (such as log data and device information) used to operate and secure the service.
  • Customer data you provide — information about your own customers that you enter into HouseOps (for example, contact details and job records), which we process on your behalf.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to provide and operate the service, verify your identity (including sending one-time sign-in codes by SMS), process subscription billing, provide customer support, secure our systems and prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Text Messaging (SMS)

Account security messages. If you have an account, we use your phone number to send account-related text messages, such as one-time verification codes used to sign in and essential service or security notices. These messages are part of providing the service and are not marketing.

Customer care messages (separate opt-in). If you check the customer care consent box on our consultation form, we will send you customer care text messages from HouseOps (Clear Kernel LLC) about your request, such as appointment confirmations, appointment reminders, and replies to your inquiry. These messages are not marketing.

Marketing messages (separate opt-in). If you check the marketing consent box on our consultation form, we will send you marketing and promotional text messages from HouseOps (Clear Kernel LLC), such as offers, tips, and news about our software and services. Marketing consent is collected separately from customer care consent. You can opt in to either program, both, or neither, and checking one box does not enroll you in the other.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase. For every program above, message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or reply HELP for help. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers and text messaging opt-in data are not sold, rented, or shared with any third party; we disclose them only to the service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the service:

  • Service providers (subprocessors) — including Stripe (payments), Twilio (messaging and voice), Resend (email), and Amazon Web Services (hosting and storage), who process data on our behalf.
  • QuickBooks Online (optional integration) — if you connect your QuickBooks Online account, we exchange your accounting records (such as invoices, payments, and refunds) with Intuit to keep your books in sync. We access only the QuickBooks company you connect, use that data solely to provide the sync feature, store the connection tokens encrypted, and do not sell or share your QuickBooks data. You can disconnect at any time from Settings → Integrations.
  • Legal and safety — when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the service.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We may retain or delete data in accordance with applicable law.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact us at the address below. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies — primarily secure, HTTP-only cookies — to keep you signed in and to operate the service. We do not use these cookies for advertising.

9. Children's Privacy

HouseOps is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or in-app notice) and update the "Last updated" date above.
